1 Introduction

Scoop is a web-based program primarily used for running community-based weblog-style sites. However, because it is extremely customizable, it can be used for purposes ranging from simple content management with no comments or reader submissions to magazine-style publishing to the discussion site mentioned above. Nearly all customization can be done through the web interface.

This document covers the CVS version of Scoop as of the date at the bottom of the page. If you are using a prior numbered release or an older version of the CVS code, you may not be able to find some of the features described here.
